How to order

Schools and other customers located outside the United Kingdom may order using this website; all international schools and other customers customers must Register as a ‘Private individual’ and pay for each online order at the time of purchase using a credit card. Please pay particular attention to the postage and packing charges displayed on the Shopping basket page and refer to the full conditions relating to the sale of products.

If you would prefer not to order online, you may also send your order with payment to Folens by post, fax, telephone or email. Existing trade customers can order by post, fax, telephone or teleorder.

Folens recommend that schools outside the United Kingdom order from their sales support, agents and reseller details for the quickest possible service.

What are the freight charges?

Worldwide Schools and Individuals (outside UK)
WITHIN EU - £10.00
REST OF EUROPE - £20
REST OF WORLD £25.00 OR 20% of order value, whichever is the greater.
Worldwide Bookshops (outside UK)

Trade customers must supply their own freight forwarder. Folens will deliver the books to your selected forwarder free of charge.

New Trade Customer - Can I have a Trade Credit Account with Folens?

Yes, Folens is pleased to accept new overseas dealer accounts. Our terms of business are:

  1. We expect dealers to buy a minimum of GBP£1,000 of products at invoice value a year. We review accounts annually as at April 30th. Dealers not meeting this minimum, annual, purchase will be asked to either trade on a payment with order basis or to order via the UK wholesaler, Gardners.
  2. Please make all payments to Folens Ltd in pounds sterling. Your first order must be pre-paid. You may pay by electronic transfer, money order, bankers draft, cheque or major credit card. If paying by credit card, please provide full details when placing your order. Your credit card will be debited when your order is processed.
  3. Credit may be given after the first, pre-paid, order. Credit period is 60 days.

The books that I want to order are not yet published. How do I order?

Order in the normal manner and it will be recorded as a 'due' publication on our computer system. This will then be sent out to you automatically when it is published.

For credit accounts (schools & bookshops), an invoice will only be sent out when the product is released.

When ordered, the NYP (Not Yet Published) item is listed on an invoice with an estimated time of publication.

If orders are received with payment, the payment is taken and an invoice with 'cash received with thanks for books to follow' is sent with the estimated time of publication.

A customer's credit card is only debited when the goods have come into stock and are released.

Can unwanted books be returned?

Trade customers, schools and individuals: No returns (from outside the UK) will be accepted unless the goods are faulty.
