February 9th 2010 is Safer Internet Day.

Organised every February by Insafe, Safer Internet Day is an opportunity to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, amongst children and young people.

The topic this year is "Think Before you Post!”, aiming to raise awareness amongst young people about responsible social networking, the consequences of personal information being available for everyone to access and how to protect themselves online

With activities across the week of 8th – 12th February, it’s an ideal time for ICT teachers to get involved and bring attention to internet safety.
